Brazil Clarifies Requirements for Accepting Supplementary Materials for Cosmetic Registration Applications
On May 29, 2025, the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa) published new standards for accepting supplementary materials (addenda) for cosmetic registration applications, aiming to optimize the review process. The new rules will take effect on June 9, 2025.
According to the new standards, Anvisa will only accept supplementary materials before the formal technical review process begins. Once the application status changes to "Under Analysis," no additional materials will be accepted to avoid disrupting the review process.
